My coworker told me about these faux donuts that were the best ever and that I needed to try them - they were gluten free, vegan, baked and not fried. And with my new diet, it would be a sweet treat.
So after an amazing baby shower thrown by my friends at work, I wanted to say thank you with a baker's dozen of fonuts.
There was just one caveat: I had to try a bite of each one since I couldn't eat the whole box myself and wanted to taste the different flavors.
And boy, did I love them all... from the Strawberry Buttermilk to the Salted Caramel - anything caramel (or chocolate for that matter) has got to be good... and the Wheat/Gluten Free Banana Chocolate to the divinely Wheat/Gluten Free and Vegan Lemon fonut, they were all my favorites!
They were moist and sweet, and for a girl who's been starving for some sugar in her life... they were just the right antidote!
Thank goodness my coworkers allowed me to indulge!

Wheat free and gluten free. What sort of flour were they made of? Rice? Bean?
Hey Bevin! Thanks for stopping by! There were some fonuts made w/regular flours, wheat flour, and rice flour from what I remember when I asked the baker. Should also note that each fonut is about $3+... A definitely indulgent treat, for sure!
