The Trails Cafe, Griffith Park

I love egg salad sandwiches, and the one from The Trails Cafe is pretty darn good.

Maybe it's the bread they use, or the fresh tasting sprouts in the sandwich. Regardless, the creamy, eggy, mayonnaise-filling just oozes with deliciousness.

I'm so thankful that my coworker introduced me to the cute little lunch stand in Fern Dell of Griffith Park. She often would tell me how she and her husband would come up to the park, eat here and picnic while walking the trails of Fern Dell. She would tell me of her adventures growing up with film stars, cocktails and the glamour of Old Hollywood.

She retired a few months ago, but still comes around to say hello and it's always a treat catching up with her. Next time, I know where we'll grab lunch!
