Valentine's Weekend. Mexico City.
MS made reservations at the world's largest rotating restaurant that overlooks the city atop the World Trade Center building - Bellini Restaurante Giratorio.
On the 45th floor, two levels of tables were situated - each with its 360-degree view of city lights. The leather booths reminded me of an older time, and the dimmed lighting along with the pianist playing classics by Jimmy Durante set the mood for love.

With the recommendation of our server, we ordered the mixed green salad and the above tuna ceviche with avocado and sprouts in a ponzu sauce. I'd have to say that the food was a great start to a wonderful evening out. The entrees and dessert were palatable, but it was the company and ambiance that made the night so great.

After dinner, we headed to the Condesa area to check out the Artic Bar. The bar was enclosed in ice, where patrons were given winter coats and gloves to withstand the cold.

The cover was 200 pesos a person, and included a shot of tequila from this ice bar. Since I'm not a huge fan of tequila, I was grateful that there were a variety of flavors to choose from - including mango.

Once inside, we were greeted with bears, benches and other furniture all carved out of blocks of ice. Even the shot glasses were made of ice!

Fun and novel, we cupped our ice glasses with rented gloves and sipped our drinks with a toast to another year of love, laughter, travel and good eats.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the weekend!
