From Snoop Dogg to Larry King, David Beckham to Adam Sandler, to pretty much everyone I know in LA, I'm the only one to be missing out... I must have been living in the Dark Ages to not know the delicious combination of fried chicken and waffles at LA establishment - Roscoe's.
I mean, Roscoe's been around since before I was born and sad to say, my first visit was only about a week ago. But boy oh boy, was I happy I went.
After a tiring day of Universal Studios lines and rides, MS and I headed to Roscoe's for dinner. With a healthy appetite, I ordered the house special - two pieces of fried chicken (one thigh and one breast) with its two waffles and maple syrup.
The first few bites... absolutely incredibly burst of sweetness and savory flavors, with the right amount of salt and oil, and textures both crispy and soft. I finished most of my plate and smiled in satisfaction, having finally tried one of LA's quintessential good eats.
