These little treats were the brainchild of Kori Shintaku Brown, Pastry Chef and Zensation Creator. Here's what she writes on her creations:
Like Kori Shintaku Brown, I grew up with all kinds of food fusions - teriyaki hot dogs pan-fried with onions on rice, Hormel chili over rice, Spam with eggs and rice, enchilada casserole with rice... actually, there was rice with every meal we ate growing up.
What we didn't have were these cute flower shaped rice crackers (sembe) covered in milk chocolate. They're sweet and salty with a crunch, a great combination.
I preferred this mild version over the spicy Hot Chocolate Mochi Krunch when we tried them at an art reception at GR/2 and purchased a couple of boxes from the Safe & Save Market for my family. (Yes, I kept one too.)
It's a Taste Zensation!

that is such a great invention! i wonder why it took so long?
I know, right? I think it's been around for at least a year or two... absolutely yummy!
I've only heard about savory rice crackers in the past. This sounds fantastic though. I can already imagine how it tastes!
These treats are sooo good! There my favorite snack. And much healthier then other snack foods...
